The Home Opera Cinema Experience

  1. A new way to experience each title: more immersive, closer, and enriched with exclusive features that only the online format can offer:
  2. 30 minutes before each digital premiere, you can watch an introductory piece by El Vomitorio, Mario Marzo and Nacho Castellanos, who will present the work and offer key insights.
  3. Master of ceremonies Ramon Gener will guide you throughout the experience, interviewing the protagonists and providing information and listening cues to enrich your viewing.
  4. Subtitles in four languages: Catalan, Spanish, English, and the original language.
  5. A moderated live chat where you can discuss the performance with other viewers and be part of an international community of opera lovers.
  6. Technical features never seen in the theatre: cablecam, frontal travelling, cameras onstage and in the pit, and close-up recording.
  7. Multicamera production and viewing, allowing you to choose unique perspectives such as the backstage or the conductor’s viewpoint.
  8. Score-following available in parallel with the performance. 4K HD image and Dolby 5.1 sound.
  9. After each premiere, a special edition will be released, in which you will also be able to watch the opera by acts and enjoy a 30-minute condensed version.
  10. Viewings will be unlimited: you can rewatch the opera whenever you want!e quieras!

  1. I am a Liceu subscriber. How do I access Liceu Opera+?Expand menu
    Go to www.liceuoperaplus.com and log in using your credentials by clicking the icon at the top right corner (use the same email and password you use to access your personal Liceu account).
  2. What are the Live Streaming and Special Edition versions?Expand menu
    The Live Streaming is a live broadcast from the Liceu stage, on a specific date and time. We bring you an opera gala hosted by an opera expert, with backstage interviews, multi-language subtitles and a live chat to share the moment with the rest of Opera Lovers watching the event. The Special Edition is a VOD opera. It will be available on Liceu OPERA+ around 10 days after the Live Streaming and has unlimited viewings during the current season and the next. The premium functionality are designed to offer you a unique viewing experience: choose from different POVs with the multi-camera; discover new details of the performance with the artistic and musical comments; and follow each musical note with the on-screen score.
  3. How can I subscribe to Liceu OPERA+?Expand menu
    First of all, you have to register for free on the Liceu OPERA+ platform at https://liceuoperaplus.com/login or go to the “REGISTRATION/LOGIN” button on the homepage. If you are a Liceu season subscriber or have previously bought tickets, log in with your Personal Area credentials. If you don't remember your password click on “Forgot your password?” below the “LOGIN” button to reset it. After registering you can purchase your digital subscription at https://liceupluslive.koobin.com/ or clicking on any “SUBSCRIBE TO LICEU OPERA+” button. Choose the fare, the quantity of digital subscriptions, log in (see previous step) and choose a payment method. Remember: 45€/season fare is only for current Liceu subscribers. Once subscribed, you will be able to watch the six operas as they premiere on Liceu OPERA+, as well as the six operas from the previous season.
  4. Where can I watch Liceu OPERA+?Expand menu
    Enjoy it on a Smart TV (with an HDMI cable, Chromecast device or similar), PC, tablet and smartphone. The Liceu+ app is available on iOS and Android app stores.
  5. How can I watch Liceu+LIVE on a Smart TV?Expand menu
    All contents are compatible with Chromecast and Apple TV. It is recommended that all devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Alternatively a computer and a Smart TV can be connected with an HDMI cable.
  6. How are the premium functionality activated?Expand menu
    Click on the icon in the upper left corner of the player to display the functionality menu. Combine them as you wish, turn them off at any time during the broadcast.
  7. Can I unsubscribe from Liceu OPERA+?Expand menu
    You can cancel the renewal of the digital subscription for the following season at any time (see previous point), but this does not imply a refund of the price you paid for the current season subscription.

    Access your Personal Area at www.liceu.cat to modify your details.

  10. Is the Liceu OPERA+ subscription renewed automatically?Expand menu
    Yes, this subscription is automatically renewed every season at the current price at the time of renewal and with the same payment method. We will send you a reminder email before the renewal date so you can choose whether to renew or cancel it. You can cancel the renewal at any time during the season by accessing your Personal Area on the Liceu website (www.liceu.cat) and selecting the “Cancel subscription” option.
  11. What is Liceu OPERA+?Expand menu
    Subscribers to the Liceu OPERA+ platform can watch 6 operas from the 24/25 season and 6 operas from the 25/26 season, with the highest image and sound quality (4K HD and Dolby 5.1).
  12. Where can I watch the twelve operas included in Liceu OPERA+?Expand menu
    The twelve operas included in the digital subscription are available on Liceu OPERA+. On the main page or homepage, you will find all the information about the twelve productions, as well as their digital premiere dates or whether they are already available for viewing. You can access Liceu OPERA+ from a computer, tablet, or smartphone, and cast the content to your Smart TV to enjoy the best image and sound quality. You can also download the app directly on your Samsung, LG, or Android Smart TV.
  13. How much does it cost subscribing to Liceu OPERA+?Expand menu
    Currently, the retail price of the digital subscription is €90 per season. In-person subscribers of the Liceu have access to the digital subscription for €45 (50% discount) as long as they remain subscribed to the Liceu (fixed or à la carte subscription). At the end of each season the digital subscriptions will be renewed automatically, prior notice by email and after a period opened for cancellations. The current RP at the time of renovation will be applied. During the season there might be price promotions which are exclusively for new subscribers.
  14. Can I subscribe once the season has already started?Expand menu
    Yes. Please note that you will not be able to watch the live digital premieres of the operas that have already premiered, but you will have access to their edited versions with unlimited viewing. You will be able to watch the remaining digital premieres as they are streamed on Liceu OPERA+. The price of the digital subscription does not change even if you subscribe after the season has begun.
